Tattersall Farm and Forestry Day - a Haverhill MA Town Forest event

Event Date:
Sunday, September 9, 2018 - 09:00 to 16:00

Over one hundred (100) years ago Massachusetts passed the historic Town Forest Act (1913), allowing for the acquisition of town forest land across the Commonwealth.
This unique event promises to engage and foster partnerships between the diverse professionals and volunteers that play a collaborative role in the management of community forests, including foresters, planners, arborists, conservation commission members, land trusts, non-profit organizations, forest landowners, and many more.

Event summary:

The morning starts off with a Birds of Prey presentation by Julie Ann Collier and Jim Parks of Wingmasters at Haverhill High School. Then it is off to the woods for a forestry tour of Haverhill’s open space to complete the morning.

The afternoon is packed with a variety of forestry and farm demonstrations at the Tattersall Farm Day—great for all ages.

Lunch and admission to the Tattersall Farm Day is included!
