2018 Northwest Community Forest Forum

The 4th biennial Community Forest Forum and Field Tour brings together over 100 community-based organizations, land  trusts, private landowners, local government officials and other important community forest players to learn and network. This event will open at the Fort George Brewery in Astoria on the evening of  Wednesday, May 9, with the Celebration of Community Forests featuring a keynote speech by Katie Voelke of the North Coast Land Conservancy. Next up, on Thursday there will be a day-long forum discussing challenges and strategies covering all stages of community forest development, with Dr. Bob McKane of the EPA as our morning keynote speaker. Finally, on Friday, the event will wrap up with a field tour of the Arch Cape watershed, where a new community forest is in the works.

Up to 8 CFE credits from SAF are available for this course.
