Service Forester

The Service Forester conducts, administers, oversees and regulates state and federal cooperative forestry programs within a district ranging between 150,000 to 250,000 acres of private and municipal forestlands. The forester also provides general technical assistance to forest landowners and outreach and education to forest landowners, foresters, harvesters, wood processors, municipal officials, environmental organizations, and general public. Regulate the harvest of forest products from all private and public lands and fulfill additional responsibilities of the position.
